Not for Sale!

As you may know, Jaq Jaq Bird is committed to giving our resources and money to organizations that help fight child-sex trafficking, child-poverty and slavery. Please see the awesome grass roots organization, Not for Sale. President David Batsone, gave birth to the organization, a former restaurant owner in Berkeley California, where over 500 young kids from India had been brought through his restaurant, and discovered a child-trafficking ring in his own backyard. Quickly, he started to do some research and discovered how prolific child trafficking was not only in his backyard, but many American's backyards as well.

Teams of 50 in the US are documenting and identifying slavery in their own backyard (in the US!) then uploading onto their alternate website, at www.slaverymap.org , you can see live cases of REAL slavery.

He has another team of 50NOT FOR SALE that are exposing the supply chain in manufacturing: everyday products we bring to our home: to shed light in the process of products like the t-shirt you wear, the sugar you are pour into your coffee, and the coffee you are drink are indeed not tainted in slave trade. As American consumers, we have the right to know that we are not consuming other people's tragedy, thus we will learn to buy differently.

Here is the interview of David Bastone with One Days Wages (another GREAT NGO!!!):
