What is so unique about Jaq Jaq Bird above other brands? We pride ourselves in stain and waterproof protection when it comes to taking care of babies and kids. But all our products were made out of plastic. When we launched our company 10 years ago, we used cotton coated with PVC in the United States, and as BPA and PVC became the villians in plastics, we re-sourced our fabric with EVA making our products PVC and BPA free. It was a huge hit, especially our splat mat and aprons. The problem with EVA was the material was stiff and not machine washable. Can you imagine having this huge and heavy splat mat that had to be rolled up like a wrapping paper in a 45 inch square size? That's how we sold it through Land of Nod. The shipping was also a nightmare!
Finally in 2011, we went back to the drawing board, and we introduced our first plastic-free product that's machine washable, stain and water proof, lightweight and best of all, our fabric never fades, or cracks! Now all our baby esssential line is machine washable, dishwasher safe. Our proprietary coating trademark called, PoetiCoat makes sure your child is comfortable with soft fabric that is coated to keep the dirt and stain off your child.
